Stepping on someone’s shoe in a crowded alley and instantaneously apologizing is Tokyo. Going into a bookshop/organic cafe/art gallery/Internet portal and listening to bob Dylan is Tokyo. Typing on an iPad and texting on an iPhone, both with customized premium covers is Tokyo. Staring at a weird poster of Tommy Lee Jones drinking a coffee with no emotion is Tokyo. Denim that has been expertly ripped, splashed with paint in all the right places, pre- and post faded in the right zones and inconveniently sold in a retail space that seems like a modern cathedral of commerce, is Tokyo. Walking the alleys in a loop hoping that one of the dozens of fashion photographers and bloggers will respect your style enough to ask you to pose for a few street snaps is Tokyo.
